Before Bohemian Wedding Films
I'd spent the best part of ten years travelling around with my camera.
I shot for resorts in Morocco, worked with Red Bull, filmed festivals, music videos and live shows for the likes of Pendulum.
I could never stop the fascination of seeing the world through these different lenses.
A FILM FOR MY DAD
Around fourteen years ago I filmed my dad's wedding.
The film is to your left.
It's shaky and clunky, some of the editing choices are questionable and it took me nearly a year to finish, but I remember how much he loved it.
It was probably the first time I understood that something I'd made could make someone so happy.
I started filming more weddings after that, and eventually they took over.
THE TEAM
What began with me has gradually grown into a small team of cinematographers, photographers and content creators I've met through years of doing this.
I'm quite particular about who joins us.
Obviously they need to be brilliant at what they do, but I also need to know I'd happily have them around my own family for twelve hours.

So, Bohemian Wedding Films?
The word Bohemian has followed me around for years.I've always loved old lenses, campervans, being barefoot outside, live music, warm colours and things that feel a little imperfect.
'Bohemian' to me doesn't mean having what you'd call a 'boho wedding' necessarily. It's more about free spirited nature, truely in love, full of energy, family and not looking to pose nor to run from the camera.
They'll happily disappear with us into some beautiful light for ten minutes, but they also want to get back because all their mates are on the dance floor.​

Fourteen years after filming my dad's wedding, I'm still trying to make something people will be in love with as their years go by. There are just more of us now, and we're much better at it.
